Canada-wide warrants have been issued for Luqman Jama Osman, 24, for numerous firearms related offences, police said Thursday.

Police allege Osman was involved in a shooting at the Ethiopian Canadian Community Association at 10585 115th Street. Police responded about 5 a.m. Jan 1 to several reports of shots fired at a New Year’s celebration attended by hundreds of people. An argument broke out between several people before shots were fired inside and outside the building, police say. No one was injured.

Osman is six-foot-three, with a medium build, beard and goatee and scar on his neck.

Police said Osman should be considered armed and dangerous and not approached.
