Former Onlf chairman sided with Onlf

Jijiga, Jan 1, 2021 – Mohamed Omar Osman has been the chairman of the ONLF for 22 years, and resigned on 12/11/2019, following a weak agreement reached with Ethiopia in October 2018.

The ONLF conference on the election of the new chairman and the formation of the ONLF central committee members was held in Gode on 12/11/2019. Two members of the executive committee, Abdirahman Mahdi and Ahmed Yasin, are running for the chairmanship of the Ogaden National Liberation Front. Dr. Abdirahman Mahdi won the post of chairman of the Ogaden National Liberation Front on 12/11/2019.

Admiral Mohamed Osman is a veteran politician and it is difficult to understand the emotion in his stomach. Admiral Mohamed Omar Osman was deeply saddened by the success of Dr. Abdirahman Mahdi, one of the founders of the Ogaden National Liberation Front.

After the election, onlf was opposed by the clans of Admiral Mohamed Osman and Ahmed Yasin who lost the election. Onlf was also at loggerheads with the acting president of the Somali regional state, who is a relative of Admiral Mohamed Osman.

Dr Abdirahman Mahdi has fired six members of the ONLF for allegedly collaborating with the acting president of the Somali regional state. Admiral Mohamed Osman has reportedly left London to provide effective advice on the Onlf dispute. On December 23, Admiral Osman was warmly welcomed in Jijiga by onlf chairman Dr Mahdi, members of the executive committee and supporters of the organization.

Onlf Chairman Dr Mahadi has asked Admiral Mohamed Osman to mediate the dispute with the acting president of the Somali regional state. Admiral Mohamed Osman rejected the chairman’s request, saying “I did not come for politics but for personal reasons.

A few days later, Admiral Mohamed Omar Osman held a meeting at his home with his community and members of the ousted ONLF. Despite perceived weakness due to age, there are reports that Admiral Mohamed Omar Osman is working to link the acting president of the Somali regional state to the ousted members of the ONLF, who want to oust the ONLF chairman Dr. Adirahman Mahadi.
