Acting President in Ethiopia’s Somali Region Aggravating Insecurity

Jijiga, April 7, 2020 – ONLF office in Korahe region was attacked this morning by local militia order Mustafe Cagjar. The local civilians confronted police aggression and few civilian injured in the raid.

the governor of the Korahe region with re-enforcement Liyu Police arrested ONLF members of the central committee (CC), based in Kebri Dehar.

The acting President of the Somali Regional State is annihilating peace agreement Ethiopia with the ONLF.

President of the Somali state Mustafe Muhumed Omar is acting in opposition to the treaty between ONLF and Ethiopia in the Eritrean capital Asmara. The treaty was saying that ONLF can open offices in Ogaden and achieve its political goals for peace.

Mustafe Cagjar is creating instability and political strife that could lead to a renewed war in the region and undermines the historic agreement between the ONLF and Ethiopia.

ONLF and Ethiopia have entered into a peace agreement that allows ONLF to operate freely in Ethiopia and the Somali state / Ogaden.

The ONLF has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ethiopian Federal Government that will bring the Somali state to the most stable state in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.

Unfortunately, peace and stability in the region is a long way off in the hands of the president of Somalia, “Mustafe Muhumed Omar”.

The ONLF is under the protection of the Federal Government of Ethiopia, and it is essential to safeguard the peace of the region and the Ethiopian government in general.
